Products Distribution

There are two distribution centres for nationwide coverage.

Southern distribution centre (SDC) based in Yangon
- Cover Yangon and lower parts of the country
- It has four branches : SDC 1, SDC 2, SDC 3 and SDC 4
- SDC 1 cover Yangon and nearby area by two van sales
- SDC 2 located at Mingalar Market, the biggest wholesalers’ market in Yangon, to cover wholesales range
- SDC 3 cover out-skarts area of Yangon by one van sales.
- SDC 4 responsible for remote area from Yangon by one light truck

Northern Distribution Centre (NDC) based in Mandalay
- NDC cover upper part of the country
- Well-trained order collecting team and experienced sales personnel visit everyday in the region and call on the towns far enough as scheduled
  accordingly

Cold chain products distribution

Cold chain products is defined as the product usually require to store at temperature between +2ºC to +8ºC. Products are ensured to keep under such temperature range along the supply chain process starting from incoming till delivery to customer hand.

TPS distribute the cold chain products directly from the office to the customers. No distribution was made to Pharmacies if they didn’t have any refrigerator to maintain the temperature between +2ºC and +8ºC as needed.

For the delivery to the clinics at distance area such as Mawlamyine, Pathein, Pyay, Taungoo, etc., usually send via express car and by plane if the destination is far enough such as Myeik to reach the products within 24 hours counted from packing time. According to our implemented SOP, TPS fully undertake to reach the cold chain products within 24 hours to customer hand and will accept return and replace the product if the delivery time is more than 24 hours starting from the pack time to final destination.

For delivery, Ice-packs are frozen for at least 48 hrs before packing into the ice foam in order to preserve product within adequate temperature range +2ºC and +8ºC during delivery.

Main warehouse is located at head office with 460 sq.ft and including areas are as follow :
- Room temperature products area
- Cold Chain products area
- Loading / unloading area
- Quarantine area
- Reject area

Cold rooms

In order to store the vaccines, sera and biological products properly, we, TPS have 3 cold rooms (2 are in spaces of 1344 cuft and 1 is in space of 512 cuft) in Yangon and 1 of 512 cuft in Mandalay.

We provide assurance that the vaccine will be consistently of a quality appropriate to its intended use. In each step of distribution, we use a good cold-chain system which consists of a series of storage and transport links all of which are designated to keep all the cold chain products at the correct temperature (between +2ºC and +8ºC) until it reached the users. To keep this cold-chain system working properly, in each step of distribution of cold chain products, including vaccines, we use appropriate cold boxes in which ice packs are put to keep the products at the correct temperature. To monitor the temperature, by testing with a calibrated master thermometer, we checked our cold rooms, temptales, thermometers and cold boxes as per current practicing SOP.

Temperature control System for Cold rooms

As cold chain products have to be maintained the temperature between +2ºC and +8ºC, TPS already established SOP for storage and control of specialty products (cold chain products). For each cold room, calibrated digital temperature recorder is installed.
Once specialty products are transferred to warehouse area, warehouse assistant have to move the products into the cold room immediately. Warehouse assistant have to check the cold chain recorder three times a day and recorded on the Temperature Control Record. For the accuracy of temperature reading by cold chain temperature recorder, Warehouse Manager will ensure the calibration of thermometers and recorders as per established Calibration procedure and will be evidenced on the Thermometers Calibration Record Form . In case of blackout, there are two generators for electricity supply (one is 90KVA and other is 25KVA) .
